I want to become a driver
We are looking for couriers throughout Spain for the delivery and collection of shipments nationwide. If you are self-employed and have your own van, be part of one of the three main parcel delivery networks in Spain and the leading company for quality in Europe.
At GLS, we are committed to a trusting partnership and a long-term business relationship. This allows us to create the basis of the quality service we offer to our customers, where the delivery people play a fundamental role. Please note that GLS does not employ delivery personnel. We work exclusively with transport partners or independent transport companies.
Join the network and work as a delivery person! Contact us and we will find the best option for you. We have an extensive network of around 570 agencies, 33 depots and hubs throughout the country.
What does our network offer you?
The best opportunities for success in an environment of continuous growth in the parcel industry.
Innovative digital tools that make your work easier.
Be part of a leading network in quality European parcel logistics.
Why does GLS work with transport partners or independent transport companies
Like most of the major parcel delivery companies in Spain and the rest of Europe, GLS uses the services of transport partners or independent transport companies to carry out the collection and delivery of parcels.
Our transport partners know their markets and local conditions, enabling them to plan accordingly. It is the delivery staff themselves who best know their delivery areas, opening hours, contact points, alternative addresses and access restrictions.
What measures does GLS take to improve the working conditions of delivery drivers?
In recent years, GLS Spain has made continuous improvements and investments to optimise systems, networks, mobile devices, services, tools, processes and training. ZERO Contact delivery and collection processes have been put in place, prioritising health and safety. It will be the local employer who will proceed to select and determine the conditions of recruitment.
What kind of training does GLS Spain offer?
GLS provides transport supplier and partner agencies with information and training on operational, regulatory, safety and sustainability issues. It also provides transport partners with basic concepts and skills for successful management in operational and administrative functions.
As an ISO 9001:2015 certified company for quality management and an ISO 14001:2015 certified company for environmental management, our outsourced processes, products and services are audited. This includes the management of transport companies.
How does GLS Spain communicate with its transport partners?
GLS promotes direct communication between the delivery personnel and the GLS workplace or agency.
The flow of information between recipients and delivery notifications or modifications are supported by state-of-the-art technological solutions available to the delivery suplier. We seek to simplify, improve and facilitate their work.
On #DriverDay, we swapped the office for the delivery van. This is the best way for us to be close to the delivery people, to share experiences and to get to know their work.
Wear and delivery vehicles
Transport partners have a wide range of different types of GLS workwear to wear during the working day. The array contains a wide range of different garments and articles that take into account the individual needs of drivers in terms of gender, size, season, application, etc.
Delivery vehicles must follow the GLS labelling regulations. All vehicles must install the identification vinyls provided by the company. Different sizes are provided to adapt them to the model and measurements of the van.
